INSIDE the Baby in Bloom BABY SHOWER
Hosted by @1heather_marie
It is one year later and we are preparing to welcome another baby girl to the Bode clan. So in usual fashion, we take a theme and we run with it. With babies blooming, there was no better theme than Baby in Bloom.
A mix of real and fake baby’s breath lined the room offering a dreamy, low-fuss accent to an already furnished room. Guests arrived to authentic Kraft paper fresh flower bags centering the tables — BODE TIP — these were simply extra party favor bags further utilized to add decor.
If you didn’t already know, the must-have for any party you’re hosting, aside from food and drinks — cheers! — is a focal installation. A place that answers the question of what we are celebrating while also offering a beautiful backdrop for photos and memories. For us, it was a hand-made welcome sign, made from an old mirror, frame taken off and painted a soft white. It was a personal touch that was oh so beautiful. And what is an installation without a balloon arch? Touched with extra baby’s breath florals, because hello, baby’s breath are almost bottomless and are the best for light and elegant decor.
Being twins, moments like these and the opportunity to host and create beautiful memories for our growing families, adding sentimental touches is probably the best part. To finish the leading install of the decor, my gift — a handmade wicker doll stroller — was the accent base to the baby in bloom sign. Overrun with pale pink florals, fake, but who noticed, and the seat for a vintage bunny in a beautiful lace gown. The bunny was bought for us as babies by our mother, and has been preserved for thirty years. The perfect final touch.
