Manifesting with Your 5th Sense

We all know the practices, journaling, repeating our daily affirmations, creating those yearly (or monthly) vision boards, practicing gratitude (ALWAYS)… but are we forgetting something? Manifesting is all about attracting something that you want into existence with aspirational-thought practices, in other words, visualizing what we want. It sounds easy, but intentional work like this can take time, faith, and patience. But we are here to share one other practice to add to your daily routine that may get you one step closer to achieving those goals, and let’s just say it’s a little on the nose.

Sometimes life can get in the way and distract us from focusing our energies on actualizing our dreams, and we need a little spark to get us back on track. So we have brought in Hannah Patrick, founder of  luxury candle company, House of Scandal, to share how incorporating candles into your daily practices and utilizing your 5th sense might just be the trick to getting us where we truly want to be.

“People underestimate the power of scent, there are so many aromatherapeutic benefits to incorporating candles into your everyday life. Candles can actually stimulate your limbic system, which is the part of the brain that is home to memory and our behavioral and emotional responses, which can help increase serotonin and dopamine. There is a power within scent and intentions. A good scent is designed to evoke emotions, so you can definitely incorporate certain candles into your daily affirmations.”

Want Better Finances?

“If you are trying to manifest better finances, and you burn our Trophy Wife candle which has patchouli in it, each time you practice that manifestation, you will create a subconscious trigger that puts you in the mindset of achieving greater wealth each time you catch the scent of patchouli.”

Bye Bye Bad Energy.

For this one, let’s talk about dating. Spotting an F’Boy is not as easy as it once was, but it is not impossible. “[When creating our signature F Boy Repellent scent] we used Sage to help get rid of any negativity (a.k.a. the F’Boy), and lavender to help you sleep through those 2 AM texts. And blending it with chamomile to uplift really makes it the perfect fuckboy repeller!”

Feeling Stressed Out?

Text his Best Friend is scented with cassis and wild fig and Trophy Wife is scented with sandalwood, ginger, patchouli and jasmine. The scents chosen for both of them were for confidence and relieving anxiety.”

Need Some Motivation?

“If you’re feeling overworked, our Dirty Laundry candle is scented with bergamot and orange. It’s fresh and uplifting, so perfect when you need a shot of energy. And if you need a confidence boost our Bad Girls Club is scented with damson plum and dark rose which is a great scent for self love.”

“Our collection names are really a play on society's misconception, we aren’t telling you to text his best friend if someone has played you, nor are we promoting being a trophy wife; but really the message with these collections and the reason we chose these scents is because it’s about being confident. For example, you don’t have to be a boss to have that boss bitch mentality, it’s how you present yourself regardless of where you are in life, just owning your situation.”
