Our Morning Immunity Mocktail
An apple a day keeps the doctor away… or something like that. And we are here to give you the trifecta of apples to boost your immune system and keep those pesky radicals away — hello antioxidants! Cue the refreshing yet spicy (if desired) morning mocktail that we have been loving.
INGREDIENTS:
— 1 tbs apple cider vinegar
Contains natural antioxidants & probiotics to promote and restore the natural balance of gut bacteria. Has also been shown to reduce symptoms of a cold.
— TIP: Pick an ACV with “mother” on the label, such as Braggs apple cider vinegar.
— 1-2 tbs raw honey
Good source of antioxidants & contains prebiotics to nourish the good bacteria in the gut. It can also give a natural energy boost thanks to the high carbohydrate content.
— TIP: Try to source local honey that says “raw” on the label, rather than “natural,” “organic” or “pure.”
— 1/4 cup organic apple juice
One of the healthiest types of juices. Rich in antioxidants to protect you from free radicals that can harm the body.
— OPTIONAL: If apple juice is not your flavor, try the organic mango blend to add in some extra healthy vitamins and minerals.
— 1/2 cup sparkling water
As what is a mocktail without the fizz?
— Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
A good source of vitamin A to help boost immune function, as well as a nice kick to jumpstart your metabolism.
— Fresh apple slices for garnish
TIP: You can also enjoy the apple slices as a snack while preparing your new morning must-have.
INSTRUCTIONS:
— Fill shaker with ice and add raw honey, ACV, apple juice, and cayenne pepper (optional) and shake well for 20-30 seconds.
— Rim glass of choice with raw honey then with mixture of cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and sugar.
— Pour over large ice cubes and garnish with fresh apple slices, if desired.
— Cheers!
