Ever wanted to know what it’s like to live in the UK, eat delectable dishes, and be everyone’s self-care goals? Meet Noelle, she is all of that and more! After following her on Instagram, I was immediately attracted to her vibe. Her beauty radiates from within. The inspiration she exudes, makes me want to get my life together, right now.

Originally from Sweden, UK transplant Noelle is currently loving life in London. As a blogger and social media content creator, she is teaching us how to stay active and healthy while we maintain our daily lives, jobs, and relationships. Yes, Noelle keeps a day job as an executive assistant at a firm in London. Albeit, after hours she uses her time to inspire the social media realm with her thoughtful words and breathtaking photos. Life has been anything but easy for everyone during the coronavirus pandemic. Spending days, even weeks at home can be hard on the best of us. To keep her sanity, Noelle takes every opportunity to embrace the outdoors by going for walks and strolling through the aisles of her local grocery store. She also enjoys a daily workout, whether indoors or out. Making time to stay physically fit, Noelle’s workout routine varies between yoga, HIIT classes, and strength training. One of her Instagram favorites is Ciara London, a trainer that uses a variety of exercises to target and tone specific areas of the body.

Her blog, By Noelle launched in 2016. Sharing her stories of life in London, Noelle said, “I’ve always used blog platforms and shared everyday life with friends and family across the world”. Why not share it with the world? Noelle believes in using her platform for good. On her blog, she speaks about mental health, anxiety, therapy, and other things people tend to shy away from. She thinks subjects like these aren’t being not talked about enough. Noelle explained why she speaks about the things many people prefer to keep hidden; she said, “I simply think we have to normalize talking about mental health to encourage others to open up”. I agree. We’ve all struggled. The more we talk about those struggles the more normal and accepted they become. Once the negative connotation involving mental health issues disappears, more people will unashamedly seek treatment.

Noelle engages with her followers and offers them a chance to speak to her about anything — well almost anything. She’s in a happy (and private) relationship with her long time boyfriend whom we’ve had a glimpse of on IG feed a time or two. She mentioned how she encourages her followers to reach out to her via DM, if they want to know more about her. “I’ve had conversations about mental health, relationship dilemmas, and even launching businesses”. When asked if she had any future business ventures we should be on the lookout for, she replied, “I’d love to have my brand. Not ready to share anything yet but, I’ll keep you posted”.

In the new reality of COVID-19, online shopping has become essential for many of us. Noelle shared a few of her favorite online retail shops. Her go-to online stores? eBay and Zara. She also likes to browse a few local sites like Selfridges and Covent Garden.  When it comes to fashion, Noelle has a style that’s unique and trendy. Since jackets are nearly a year-round necessity in London, Noelle keeps a variety in rotation. A few of her favorites are her leather All Saints jacket, a long camel coat, and a leather jacket.

Keeping it simple is a trend that has continued to prove itself timeless. Do you have clothing items you can’t live without or ones you can pair with anything? Noelle shared some of her, can't live without clothing items with our team. Converse and Vans were a must-have in Noelle’s shoe arsenal. She explained, “I live in converse and vans and think they work with any kind of outfit”’. Barely-there heels, black and blue denim, and a few neutral tops, create infinite looks that are simple, yet diverse. Noelle is inspired by everything and everyone. She doesn’t focus on one particular person, genre, or trend. Like many of us, Noelle frequents Pinterest for fashion ideas, healthy recipes, and new beauty products. If you haven’t noticed, beauty shots are kind of her thing. Her Instagram feed is synonymous with her minimalist style. Her simplistic approach to style is hers alone. On the contrary, she stated how she loves colors and patterns. However for her, those looks aren’t sustainable for everyday life. Noelle will always return to her black leather jacket and simple midi dress. Although she takes a minimal approach to clothing, she does indulge in accessories. Her favorite Jewelry line is Phine Jewelry. Elina, the woman behind Noelle’s favorite piece, the Feminist Necklace, is not only a designer, but she’s also a lawyer. As Gold is Noelle’s go-to tone, and simplistic in her style, the feminist piece is anything but. It is bold and makes a statement like no other. Noelle said it gives her a boost of confidence when she’s wearing it.

Noelle is no stranger when it comes to design. Altering clothing and creating new styles and preserving old ones is something she loves to do. Mani-pedis are listed on every woman's self-care checklists. For Noelle, doing them herself is something she loves. “I’ve always done it and it’s become quite therapeutic to sit with all of my tools and polishes, watch a movie and transform my nails”. Noelle’s skin is flawless. So naturally we had to ask, What’s your daily skincare routine look like? Without hesitation, she was honest. “I'm not wearing much makeup right now”. She said before explaining her skincare routine. “I’m using REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream. It protects your skin from pollution and combats redness and sensitivity whilst being very moisturizing. On top, I use Murad City Skin Age Defense sunscreen in SPF50”’. For an anti-aging cleanser, Noelles uses Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging cleanser. Face oils are serums are all the rage right now. Noelle prefers her serum equipped with superfoods. She uses Sunday Riley Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil. Although she likes to mix her moisturizer at home using all-natural ingredients, Noelle also uses Dr. Organic moisturizer to supplement.

Noelle said if she had the opportunity to work with any brand she would choose Flippa K. She educated us on the brand, stating, “Filippa K, it’s a Swedish brand that focuses on high-quality pieces that are timeless, and have changed with the times. They are trying to become more circular which I think, is something every single brand should strive for”. Circular brands make a positive impact on economies and the environment by reducing waste, offering equipment leasing options, and using certified organic and recycled materials. Noelle’s conscious journey began years ago after learning how many designers and fashion companies produced massive amounts of clothing that eventually ended up wasted, instead of being recycled and reused. She said she’s not perfect but wants to continue to learn how she can make a difference and help reduce the negative effects waste produces on our environment.

In terms of diverse branding, it’s no secret Noelle identifies with multiple ethnic backgrounds. Being a diverse brand in today's society is essential. Many people represent more than one culture and to see that portrayed on the big screen or in the fashion industry is important. Noelle believes that we are in a “call-out culture”. If a brand isn't thinking about or embracing diversity, it can make or make their organization. She’s right we’ve seen it happen to so many of the brands we have supported. In the UK and abroad. Living abroad and traveling is something Noelle loves to do. Exploring the world and sharing with others her journey. One of her favorite places to visit, Morocco. Noelle spoke of one of her first relaxing holidays, “It was a dream. Reading by the pool, working out, and eating was all I did.”  But for Noelle Sweden will forever be home. She travels home, often. Her favorite season to visit, summer. Speaking of summer, Noelle hopes the world will be back to normal by then, so she can return to Sweden, once again. Her advice for us until then? Stay safe, healthy, practice gratefulness, and don’t forget your SPF.
